Winners for Dog Photographer of the Year 2016 will be announced through press and media on Monday, June 19th, 2017.

AWARDS AND PRIZES

Prizes awarded for Dog Photographer of the Year 2016 are as follows:

Overall Winner of Dog Photographer of the Year 2016 – your image will be displayed in the Kennel Club Art Gallery in Mayfair London and we’ll also provide you with (1) SmugMug business account and a one-to-one VIP mentorship day with  Andy Biggar Photography – one of the world’s best known professional dog photographers. Overall winner will receive an original oil painting of their winning image by internationally awarded artist, Sara Abbott. Winner will also receive their exhibition print, trophy, rosette and certificate. 

Category Winners (1st Place) for Assistance Dog and Rescue Dog Charities - your image will be displayed in the Kennel Club Art Gallery in Mayfair London and we’ll also provide you with (1) SmugMug business account. We will also donate £500 to your nominated dog charity* (dog charities to be vetted and approved by the Kennel Club).  Category Winners will receive a (1) one day course with Nikon School London.  Category Winners will also receive their exhibition print, a trophy, rosette and certificate. 

Category Winners (1st Place) for Young Pup Photographer (Under 11s), I Love Dogs Because… (12-17s), Dogs at Play, Dogs at Work, Portrait, Puppies, Man’s Best Friend and Oldies - your image will be displayed in the Kennel Club Art Gallery in Mayfair London and we’ll also provide you with (1) SmugMug business account. Category Winners will receive a (1) one day course with Nikon School London.  Category Winners will also receive their exhibition print, a trophy, rosette and certificate. 

Each category Runner-Up (2nd place and 3rd place) I Love Dogs because… (12-17s), Young Pup Photographer (Under 11s), Dogs at Play, Dogs at Work, Portrait, Puppies, Man’s Best Friend, Assistance Dog Charity, Rescue Dog Charity and Oldies - your image will be displayed in the Kennel Club Art Gallery in Mayfair London and we’ll also provide you with (1) SmugMug Portfolio account. Category Runner-Ups will also receive their exhibition print, rosette and certificate. 

DISCLAIMER: The prizes are non-transferable. The Kennel Club reserves the right to substitute the whole or part of any listed prize with an alternative value (but the entrant shall not have any right to demand this). Prizes must be claimed within one year unless otherwise specified or will be forfeited. Overall Winner with Andy Biggar Photography would need to arrange their own transport, accommodation, and meals as well as have their own photography equipment to participate in a one day VIP mentorship day. Overall Winner must book directly with Andy Biggar Photography at least 90 days in advance of their VIP mentorship day. Any cancellations or rescheduling of VIP mentorship day must be made directly through Andy Biggar Photography and not the Kennel Club. Category (1st Place) Winners will receive a (1) one day Nikon School voucher to be fulfilled by winner only. Winners can choose from an array of photography courses with Nikon School London up to a value of £129.00 GBP. Category Winners are responsible for their own travel to and from Nikon School. There are no cash substitutes for any prizes. Prize winners under the age of 18 must have guardian permission to participate in a photography course and where prize winner is under 18 years of age must have a guardian accompany the winner to the course. Any bookings, cancellations or rescheduling for Nikon School courses must be made directly through Nikon School and not the Kennel Club. For exhibition prints, rosettes, trophies and any prizes posted to Winners outside the UK, the Kennel Club holds no responsibility for customs and duty charges or delays for any prizes couriered or posted from the UK.
