Yes, black and white photos are acceptable.
My photo has a date printed on the photo can I still enter?
No. The entry photo needs to be a clean image – no watermark of any kind including dates given by camera settings. Any images with watermarks including dates will be disqualified. Remember to check your camera settings BEFORE you snap those great dog photos.
Why don’t you allow photos of dogs with sticks for Dogs at Play category?
We believe in happy and healthy dogs. Dogs playing or chewing on sticks may cause serious injury so we only want to see dogs playing with dog toys that are considered safe by vets and Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme dog trainers and instructors.
What is excessive Photoshopping?
Over-cropping, over-colourisation, over-saturation, over-colour correcting (taking away from the true nature of the dog and the scenery), changing the scenery, changing the dog. Best practice is to keep your image true to nature and only add small minor corrections such as mild contrast, mild saturation, and mild highlights. Please avoid over-Photoshopping your dog images.
